SGO Designer Glass is a first-class team of dedicated, talented artists. Founded in 2003, we've proudly transformed homes, businesses, and places of worship. We're a small company, but our ever-widening customer base has come to rely on us for everything from cabinet door panels to breathtaking entrance systems.

No job is too complicated for our team, and our unique overlay process allows for designs not available with regular stained glass. SGO Designer Glass specializes in the design, fabrication and installation of beautiful stained glass overlay panels. Everything from the most elaborate of entryway systems to simple cabinet door panels. All of our work is customized to the individual client and is manufactured by hand at our studio.

We turn glass and light into beautiful solutions for your home, business or religious institution. Our talented team captures history, culture or modern designs in over 300 colors and textures, and nothing makes us happier than leaving our customers breathless!

CONVENIENCE

SGO Designer Glass is lightweight, seamless, airtight, watertight, and contains ultraviolet inhibitors to protect from fading.

CUSTOMIZABLE

Our specialty is in creating stunning panels, customized to our clients’ preferences and specifications. Everything from matching color and design themes to designing a piece that has special personal meaning, we love working with clients to make one-of-a-kind creations.

DURABILITY

Unlike traditional stained glass, which has multiple pieces of glass held together by lead and often requires the use of support brackets for stability, all SGO Designer Glass panels are created on a seamless single piece of glass. It is air-tight and water-tight.

SAFETY

As we work with one seamless panel of glass, we can use tempered and/or laminated glass to give the ultimate in strength and security. These types of glass are designed for potential impact areas or larger panels where safety is paramount and required by building codes.

Dave Pye

Designer Glass is owned and operated by Dave Pye, an experienced entrepreneur and artist who loves living and working in Newfoundland. Determined to be self-employed before the age of 40, he gave up corporate life with a large multinational company to start SGO Designer Glass in 2003. And he couldn't be happier!

Jillian Gardiner

Jillian Gardiner is from Summerside, Prince Edward Island, and has been working at Designer Glass as the Design Manager since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual) from Memorial University in 2007. Jillian is responsible for virtually all of the stunning designs and panels that have ben completed since then. (There's really nothing she can't do!)

When we renovated our home, we knew we wanted unique doors in our living and dining areas. We had visited Italy the summer before so with the assistance of Designer Glass we designed beautiful doors that are a one of a kind memory. These 2 doors are mounted on barn style hardware between the living and dining areas. They were so beautiful the following year we had 2 more made going into the living room to replace your standard French door.
